Casper & Cole is the third of the Imbiba companies invested into by the Imbiba Leisure EIS Fund during the most recent tax year.

The company and its founder, Neil Rankin, plan to establish venues offering both wine bars and counter dining. Under the brand name of “Temper”, the sites will offer a mix of new world wines with the best of South and North American barbeque cooking.

Neil Rankin is a pioneer of modern barbecue cooking in the United Kingdom. Neil developed his unique and highly applauded cooking style initially in the kitchens of various Michelin star establishments (The Latymer, Rhodes 24, Chez Bruce) and then with award-winning barbecue-master Adam Perry Lang (Barbecoa, Daisy May’s, Daniel, Le Cirque). Neil first came to prominence working alongside, and launching, Tom Adam’s renowned Pitt Cue Co, before becoming executive chef of critically acclaimed John Salt and Smokehouse. In 2014, the BBC asked Neil to represent Scotland on the Great British Menu.
